The Record: Sage Colleges’ Centennial

“TROY >> The Sage Colleges are kicking off a yearlong celebration of its centennial this week.

A full slate of events is planned to celebrate the colleges’ 100th anniversary throughout the year, including a gala, 5k run, centennial-themed lectures and a centennial commencement.

The celebration will begin Tuesday at the state capitol, where Assemblyman John McDonald, D-Cohoes, and state Sen. Neil Breslin, D-Albany, will introduce a resolution honoring Sage’s milestone and continue Friday with a special Sage Night Out version of the monthly Troy Night Out program. Sage Night Out will begin at 4:30 p.m. Friday with cupcakes and hot chocolate in Bush Memorial Center on the Russell Sage campus, followed by remarks and several campaign and scholarship announcements from President Scrimshaw at 5 and presentation of the joint state Senate and Assembly resolution and the lighting of Bush Memorial and surrounding Sage campus in green at 5:30 p.m.”
